Learn. Play. Perform.

In our never ending quest to bring poetry and performance to the masses we have, yet again, teamed up with The Arena Theatre to bring you Arena Nights. It’s more PPP, it’s more Arena and it’s another opportunity to perform.
Arena Nights is broken into three parts. In the first part we encourage you to share a work, be it poetry, prose or performance, which you have memorised. This is a unique opportunity to test drive your memory in front of a receptive crowd in a way that won’t make you feel awful if the second stanza of your masterpiece decides to leave your head and go on holiday to Barbados. So get that poem or prose piece you want to memorise, get it into your head and pop down to see us.
The second part is a ten minute work-in-progress piece. Again, it can be poetry, prose or performance. We can also build in a Q and A session into this part so you can get feedback from the audience on what you are working on.
After a short break we then come back with part 3. A full fringe show. When we ran Midlands Fringe we discovered there were so many wonderful performers with shows which we think need to be seen. We’re pleased this night now exists so we can show off some of those shows.
The night is pay-as-you-feel but any money donated by the audience goes to the performer of the fringe show. You can’t get more fringe than that.
So if you want to try to remember something, try something out or give your fringe show a run, get in touch.
