In case you needed reminding, it’s the first autumnal helping of PASTA tomorrow evening, at Wolverhampton’s Arena Theatre, with a first-half theme of ‘self-disclosure’. We can’t wait to hear your poems and short stories responding to that! 7.30pm start, free entry, and one of the Midlands’ friendliest crowds.
We’re also giving you advance notice of October’s Yes We Cant. This will be at the Lych Gate Tavern on Sunday October 4th, and we’ve joint headliners in Liz Lefroy and Ciarán Hodgers. As always, we’ve ten open mic spots – five bookable in advance, and five on the door on the night – so if you’d like one of those, get in touch. Our aim through the autumn is to return to a hybrid event where we stream Yes We Cant on Zoom for folk watching at home. This is what we did while it was at the Great Western, and it worked really well, so we’re popping in to the Lych Gate at some point before October 4th to give the tech a whirl and see if we can do the same there. If you’d like to sign up to join us online on October 4th, please do – if we discover that Wolverhampton city centre is a digital deadspot stuck in the 1840s (and let’s face it, that’s entirely possible) then we’ll let you know.
