The Return of Midlands Fringe

We’re over the moon that Arts Council England have chosen to support our application to run a second Midlands Fringe in Wolverhampton city centre this summer. It’s going to be bigger and better than last year’s inaugural Fringe, with thirty shows and three headline events across nine days in the second half of July.

News of this has already been covered in our local newspaper, the Express & Star, and the on BBC website. Thanks to them both.

Last year, we received ninety applications from people wishing to bring their shows to Midlands Fringe. In light of that, we’ve doubled the number of opportunities this year, increasing it from fifteen shows to thirty. The online application form will be up on the festival website from this Saturday (May 16th) and we’ll be taking applications until early June. If you want to apply, the website is here: www.midlandsfringe.co.uk If you want to come along to the shows, make a note of the dates!

We’ll be posting regular updates about Midlands Fringe in the build-up to the festival weekends, both via our newsletters and on the festival website. We hope you’ll join us in July – it’s going to be amazing!!
